Precare tablet: Each tablet contains-

Vitamin A (Beta Carotene & Vitamin A Palmitate) BP 2700 IU, Vitamin B1 (Thiamine Mononitrate) BP 3.4 mg, Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) BP 3.4 mg, Niacin BP 40 mg, Pantothenic Acid (Calcium Pantothenate) BP 20 mg, Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine HCI) BP 10 mg, Folic Acid BP 800 mcg, Vitamin C (Ascorbic Acid) BP 120 mg, Vitamin E (Vitamin E Acetate) BP 30 IU, Vitamin K Ph.Gr. 65 mcg, Zinc (Zinc Oxide) BP 25 mg, Iron (Ferrous Sulphate) BP 30 mg, Copper (Cupric Oxide) Ph.Gr. 2 mg, Manganese (Manganese Sulphate) BP 1.2 mcg, Iodine (Potassium Iodide) BP 175 mcg, Selenium (Sodium Selenate) Ph.Gr. 12.5 mcg, Molybdenum (Sodium Molybdate) BP 25 mcg, Chromium (Chromium Chloride) Ph.Gr. 25 mcg, Inositol BP 50 mg, Quercetin BP 54 mcg.

Descriptions
Precare is a preparation of comprehensive multiple vitamin and mineral supplement designed to meet the increased nutritional needs of pregnant or lactating women. Since pregnancy and lactation impose an increased demand for certain nutrients, added insurance of a complete multiple vitamin and nutrient supplement is recommended. The special formulation of Precare provides a wide spectrum of the essential nutrients needed for pregnant women, in a form that is gentle to the sensitive stomach.

Indications
Precare is indicated for use in improving the nutritional status of women throughout the pregnancy and in the postnatal period for both lactating and non-lactating mothers. Precare is also indicated in improving the nutritional status of women prior to conception.

Dosage & Administration
One tablet daily or as directed by the physician.

Side Effects
Allergic sensitization has been reported following oral administration of folic acid.

Precautions
Folic acid in doses above 0.1 mg daily may obscure pernicious anemia in that hematological remission can occur while neurological manifestations remain progressive.

Contraindications
Precare is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Use in Pregnancy & Lactation
Recommended.

Drug Interaction
No such drug interactions have been reported.

Overdose
Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in children under 6. In case of accidental overdose, call a doctor or poison control center immediately.
